THE MISSION

Sitting, daydreaming about a dream job is almost as common as breathing. We dream, we think, we wonder; and then get back to a routine that suits our comfort level. Life goes on. But sometimes an inspiration in the form of a song, a situation, a verse even a catastrophe spawns a creative idea that's beautiful and imaginative. It seems remarkably real and within arms length, but fear of short comings, failure and time have a tendency to overcome these inspirations and lead us gradually back to our comfort zones, where we dwell upon the usual. “One day, I will...” But we went a different way when we said Today I will!

OUR STORY

Being new to London, having practically no contacts in the film and television industry other than some experience from abroad and the ambition to produce, demands quite an imagination for strategies. One of them is getting involved with like-minded enthusiasts, with which this city, and country, is crammed. On  that account, after landing a job producing one of the worlds worst low budget short films ever written, which in the end, thank God, didn't get made, I was back at square one ;)

Following a few other encounters with "Like-minded" people, it was time to throw in the towel. However, Creatives never throw in the towel. We like to wave it around a lot but we'll never throw it down. Respectively, that's what needed to be done! To develop a GOOD idea and attract a team of towel wavers who'll have my back just as I'll have theirs.

Now, in order to find out if an idea is good or not, tends to be positive feedback and interest, or lack of it. After posting an announcement on the Actors UK Facebook site, about commencing a writing team for an all girl comedy drama, 350 people responded in 12 hrs!!! That's when I knew that there was no other way but forward. From out of those 350 supporters emerged a team of crafty and driven writers.

We are Closet Films. This is our journey and this is our project.
